Romano states that. . .in spite of what most of the media indicates: that this conflict, cycle of violence, is all about the Oct. 7th attack. . .it started long before Oct.7th, especially after the 1967 war.

This conflict, including the October 7th attack was directly and indirectly caused by Israeli occupation, of Gaza and west bank, settler violence mostly supported by IDF, the blockade, high unemployment, scarce food and water, little mobility, little freedom. . .and no real future for Palestinians.

BUT THERE IS A SOLUTION:

We need together, to create an independent Palestinian state alongside an Independent Israeli state!

When that is accomplished, the radical Hamas approach would be much less interesting, and they will lose much support! Why? Because their call to fight the occupation will make no sense, since there will be no occupation, no blockade, no attacks by settlers, nor intrusions into Palestinian homes and into their land by the IDF.

On the other side, since there are no attacks by Palestinians, in self defense against Zionist attacks, the fanatic Zionist approach, to attack and get rid of Palestinians, would automatically be far less appealing, and they will lose much support. Why? The Palestinians would be focused on their own state and not attacking, defending themselves from Zionists trying to kick them off their land.

All we need now, is a sincere desire of all parties concerned, to stop the cycle of violence and start living in peace and harmony.

The truth is, Israeli agents are now massacring Palestinians, committing genocide before our eyes. It is urgent that we, together, find a solution to this humanitarian disaster, unfolding before our eyes in Gaza, and in the West Bank. For now, let’s look at the roots of the conflict: Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank have been subject to a very vicious and cruel occupation for many years. That has created food, water, medical supply shortages, among others, especially in Gaza, exacerbated by the Israeli blockade.

So, again, let’s keep things in perspective, the October 7th attack by Hamas was a manifestation of intense frustration, economic repression, and asphyxiation due to the blockade and continued occupation of Palestine, including the West Bank. It was also due to the continued aggressive intrusions into the Temple Mount area, near the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, as well as the constant and vicious attacks of Palestinians by settlers, who are often aided and abetted by the Israeli IDF. Let’s look at the International Courts—they have failed Palestinians. In particular, the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor, Karim Khan, has done nothing to prosecute the Israeli agents and their accomplices (notably US agents) for war crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

The ICC is thus overly politicized and not impartial! For example, only one year after Russia invaded and occupied parts of Ukraine, the ICC issued arrest warrants against Putin for alleged war crimes! Israeli agents have committed war crimes against the Palestinian people since 1948 and no arrest warrants have been issued against Israeli criminals nor their accomplices.

Frank Romano re: Gaza Starving & Solutions

Frank Romano, member: US & French bars, retired tenured associate professor: University of Paris.

I would like to address the recent massacre of Palestinians on March 29 while they desperately search for something to eat. And finally, what is the solution to this never ending Palestine Israel conflict?

To view this, click on the below image:

I might add that, after oct 7, instead of 500 trucks entering daily, only 90 or fewer have been entering Gaza with food, water and medical supplies.

So, people in Gaza are desperate to eat, notably to feed, hydrate and medicate their families.

Let’s return to the massacre. Gazans had congregated at Harun al-Rashid Street in Gaza, on the Southwestern side of Gaza City, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way.

According to a report of Al Jazeera’s Mahmoud, and by the AP. . .as people gathered in large groups waiting for much-needed aid, the trucks arrived. People started pulling boxes of flour and canned goods off the trucks when Israeli troops opened fire.

Israel said many of the dead were trampled in a crowd surge that started when desperate Palestinians rushed the aid trucks. It said its troops fired warning shots after the crowd moved toward them in a threatening way.

That is a bold-faced lie!

Dr. Mohammed Salha, the acting director of Al-Awda Hospital, however told The Associated Press that of the 176 wounded brought to the facility, 142 (80%) had gunshot wounds and the other 34 showed injuries from a stampede.

Al Jazeera’s Bernard Smith claimed the Israeli military “initially tried to pin the blame on the crowd”, saying that “dozens were hurt as a consequence of being crushed and trampled in a stampede when aid trucks arrived.”

Smith continued: “the Israelis went on to say that their troops felt threatened, that hundreds of people approached their troops in a way they posed a threat to them so they “responded by opening fire.”

But they didn’t explain how those people posed a threat.

The crowd was obviously desperate, starving and dehydrated.

So even if they massed around the tank, in desperation, and not even paying attention to their security, what threat could they have been?

Frank Romano-talks about the Gaza Genocide and the disastrous approach of President Biden

F. Romano, member of the US & French bars, retired associate professor:University of Paris.

As you know, there is a humanitarian disaster, unfolding before our eyes in Gaza, and in the West Bank.
And what about President Biden’s approach?

To view this, click on the below image:

Biden’s weak, indecisive leadership does not help things! He approves of weapons to be delivered to Israel along with millions of dollars in the middle of this massacre. That is another way of giving Israel the green light in pursing its vicious annihilation of the Palestinian people. And that is tantamount to being an accomplice to the war crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people. Biden will thus be included as a defendant in the complaint to the ICC, for war crimes against Palestinians, along with Netanyahu and his other cohort thugs.

What about Biden’s unbridled approvals of endless deliveries of arms and money to Israel, paid for by US taxpapers, and then vaguely conditions that on Israel’s promise to try and limit civilian losses and injuries.
What Biden has done is equivalent to the WWII fiasco when British prime minister chamberlain tried to negotiate with Hitler. Like Biden’s vague and weak conditioning, the delivery of arms and money to Israel, Chamberlain agreed to give Hitler the Sudetenland of Czechoslovakia on the condition he take no more European land. Hitler then proceeded to take the rest of Czechoslovakia then invaded Poland, followed by a huge chunk of Europe.

Israeli leaders, like Hitler, who scoffed at Chamberlain’s weak efforts of appeasement, probably laugh at Bidens weak attempts at appeasement, weak conditions (namely to be careful not to harm civilians) as the Israelis grab the money and weapons. After the grab, the Israeli leaders continue scoffing at Biden as they continue to order the massacre of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the West Bank.

Biden must use leverage to pressure Israel. The leverage is: stopping arms and payments, until Israel implements a ceasefire for several months in Gaza, allows the humanitarian aid to immediately enter and then finally completely withdraws from Gaza. Force is obviously the only language Israel understands.
