In addition, Romano discussed the French president Macron’s visit to the US to talk with Trump about the RUSSIAN THREAT TO EUROPE. Romano indicated that compromising with Russia, too much, would be like what Neville Chamberlain, the UK prime minister, did in 1938. On behalf of the UK, France and Italy, Chamberlain greed to the cession of the Sudetenland from Czechoslovakia to Germany. In exchange, Hitler agreed to renounce any claims to the rest of Czechoslovakia.
But in reality, those concessions to Hitler only enhanced his hunger to take more European land and eventually annex the rest of Czechoslovakia and then invade the rest of Europe. Romano warned that by giving concessions to Russia, with respect to the Ukraine, would only enhance its hunger and motivation to invade and conquer the rest of Europe.
Romano indicated that Europe no longer would act like a child following the American father figure. Europe will break away from the US patriarch and the former will come together, militarily and politically to back the Ukraine and form a united block in the face of the Russian threat. In addition, the Mayadeen program included other speakers who discussed whether Trump will eventually pull back from his GAZA plan.

Romano declares profound love for the Palestinian people and his empathy for their struggle to be free and to live a normal life. He describes his efforts to fight the Israeli occupation and genocide and his life with the Bedouin Palestinians in “Al Khan al Ahmar.”
He also talked about his imprisonment by Israeli forces, and representation of the Palestinian people in their criminal case before the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Netanyahu, accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Finally, Romano warns notably the European and American people, that they must rise up against their governments which are directly aiding and abetting Israel’s massacre of innocent Palestinians while committing a full-blown genocide. Romano claims that if the people don’t rise up and oppose their governments enabling Israeli to commit these horrendous crimes, the former are accomplices to those crimes, and they will be severely punished in this world and/or the world beyond.

Regarding the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court, to Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister, Yoav Gallant: Dr. Frank Romano explained that EU member states can be members of the ICC if they adopt national legislation to support this.
Hungary has stated that it did not promulgate the legislation to adhere to the ICC, therefore it is not required to comply with the ICC ruling to issue the warrants.
He pointed out, however, that the EU strongly supported the arrest warrant issued against Russian president Vladimir Putin in March 2023. The refusal of some countries to comply with the ICCC arrest warrants such as Hungary and the Czech Republic may undermine the credibility of the European Union.
He explained the possibility of Israel taking counter-measures against the court, such as imposing sanctions on judges, which would further complicate European Israeli relations.
Finally, Romano noted that Israel could even sanction the countries that agree to comply with the ICC decision to issue the arrest warrants.

Romano discussed the legal aspects of the recent International Court of Justice decision on May 24, 2024. It ordered Israel to immediately stop its offensive and military operation in Rafah and withdraw its troops from there. It ordered that the border crossings must be reopened as soon as possible to allow the entry of humanitarian aid.
Romano added that the United States will soon find itself between a rock and a hard place. Why? Because it has recently fervently advocated that Israel do not attack Rafah. The US would look like an indecisive hypocrite if it now vetoes a possible UN Security Council resolution that enforces the decision of the ICJ ordering Israel to withdraw from Gaza and open the doors to humanitarian aid.

Since he has gone underground in Ramallah due to not obeying an Israeli court order to leave the country (his departure was ordered for September 25th, 2018), he can no longer leave Ramallah, at the risk of being spotted at an Israeli police “checkpoint,” jailed, prosecuted and then deported back to France.
In the interview, he discussed his participation with a team of lawyers preparing a serious complaint before the ICC against Netanyahu and Lieberman for “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity”. He stated: “We already have a very strong case against Netanyahu and Lieberman for war crimes, etc. before the ICC, but if Netanyahu were ever to destroy Al Khan al Ahmar, that would guarantee his conviction as a war criminal, his arrest and subsequent imprisonment- imprisoned for life if he ever left Israel.” In light of WWII, a Jew to be condemned as a “war criminal” would be especially “ignominious!”
Romano also encouraged activists to advocate for Palestinian freedom and to visit the West Bank, in particular Al Khan al Ahmar, West Bank, the Bedouin village, where he (and 3 other activists) was arrested on September 14th, 2018 for helping block a bulldozer from preparing to destroy the village.
