  1. Dear Frank, greetings from Istanbul!

We were met in a rally held by Mavi Marmara, approximately 2 months ago. Dr Huzeyfe Keles (your translater then) introduced me to you. I wanted to tell you something, but the sound were so loud for this. I took your card instead. Then we met again in another event in Sarachane, Fatih. You were always with brothers, so I postponed the conversation again. Later on, there was no other occasions. As a workaholic and a slow motion worker, I haven’t been able to catch myself since than.

When we take a glance to what have been going on in our old World after the last events erupted in Middle East, we may be horrified. This time it’s different for sure. World probably never will be the same. As far as I can see, it’s another big turn in history. A breaking point that no ordinary World citizen seems to be capable to change anything; but the truth is the other way around. I don’t know how this happened but yes, the humanity will write the history  all together from now on.

That’s how I feel. As for the reason why I disturbed you after all, it’s for a favor.

I wrote an essay about psychological background of repetitive abuse of the oppressed. I wrote it without knowing who will care for it. When finished, I began to look for publishing it. I thought that you would evaluate and make the use of it better than anyone else that I knew. I would be grateful if you allow time for this. Who knows to what degree it may help to reach one more soul in the name of collective conscience, to alleviate the burden it endured already?

    With best regards,

Assoc. Prof. Dr. V. Selcuk ENGİN
